“I could not have found a better place to stay There was everything anybody could want .There were freshly baked mince pies on arrival A good selection of toiletries The rooms were warm and welcoming The beds were comfortable Nothing was too much trouble for Charlie( the owner ) There was plenty of hot water and the breakfast was A1 I wish we could have stayed longer”

“Charlie is a most charming and helpful host who met me on arrival and departure. The property had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Had I had a bigger car then I would have been tempted to take the bed home it was so comfy. Wifi issues but these are known to Charlie and being resolved and wasn’t a big issue for me anyway. I didn’t want breakfast but it was offered. May be worth noting that the pub in the village only serves food on Friday and Saturday evenings but there are plenty of places to eat a short drive away.”

“Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean room, very cosy. Charlie is friendly and welcoming and cooks an amazing breakfast. But it was Ida the little Jack Russell who stole the show! We would definitely stay with Charlie and Ida again!”

“Tucked away from the hustle and bustle in a quiet pretty village but still only 10/15 minute drive from Daventry which suited me just fine. Fed up of staying at boring and expensive hotel chains so this was a top pick for me! The room décor was tasteful with a pleasing mix of older furniture to suit the property and modern facilities to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast choices exceeded my expectations. My choice of local free range eggs were poached beautifully.”

“What we liked – Everything, Charlie & Ida made Bud & I so very welcome. Little touches such as fresh milk & fresh biscuits (neither bound in layers of plastic), peace, tranquility, the beauty of Everden added to Charlie & Ida’s hospitality make the Rear of The Plough B&B one definitely not to be missed whether a single traveller accompanied by their furry companion or a couple.
