Corona Virus Update
Due to the current restrictions and in the interests of customers’, local residents’ and my own safety, The Rear of the Plough Bed & Breakfast accommodation is not open – until further notice.
I am working on plans to re-open safely and will post a further update on the site as soon as I am able.
If you would like to enquire about future bookings or would like me to update you directly please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call on 07793 035497.
I have turned my porch into the ‘Teeny Tiny Shop’, which is able to display a superb range of small works from local artists and crafts people, all of which are for sale. I am also running regular ‘by-appointment’ events in my public courtyard (Covid19 restrictions permitting) to showcase my own upholstery work alongside other locally produced arts and crafts in a Covid-safe way. As soon as it is safe to do so, I am aiming to make The Rear of the Plough B&B into a perfect haven – a place where you can stay comfortably isolated from others, that will be thoroughly cleaned down between guests, and serviced so you can stay in control of your own space. Unfortunately the rooms are not equipped for preparing your own food – but I am working on ways in which I could provide breakfasts and light meals in a safe and practical way so even if you are social distancing, you will still safely be able to get away and enjoy the tranquil surrounding Northamptonshire countryside, the charm and community of an historic English village and easy access to a host of local sights, views and places of peace and beauty.
….. watch this space!
The Rear of the Plough Bed and Breakfast is tucked away in the glorious countryside between Banbury, Daventry and Towcester (known as the golden triangle). The accommodation is housed in a purpose rebuilt barn offering 2 beautifully appointed double en-suite rooms with full, traditional, locally sourced breakfast options cooked on the owner’s Aga.
Located just 10 minutes drive from junction 16 of the M1, the two rooms are in their own separate annex and have their own separate entrances. Both are comfortably fitted out – room 2B – with a double bed and room NOT2B – with a double/twin option. They both have modern en-suite showers, instant electric heating and are equipped with tea making facilities, hair dryers and reasonable speed free WiFi connections. They have been carefully designed and built to combine traditional rural character with the comforts of modern living.
The owner is a keen cyclist and an accomplished golfer and can provide directions and advice on the best places to go if you want to take advantage of the superb network of cycling routes nearby and/or the wide range of golfing facilities within easy reach.
