“The lady who runs the little B&B is absolutely charming. She also provides an amazing breakfast, beautifully cooked and served with lovely china and a smile. It is a little oasis of comfort and charm.”

What a fantastic place to stay in a lovely quiet location, lovely room where the host was so welcoming. Breakfast was brought to your room & set up for a personal touch. Also conviently located to the local pub which served fantastic food & drinks.

The room is ideal for an overnight stay in the area or as a base in a quiet village to visit nearby places of interest. The host Charlie is very welcoming and provides an excellent breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. The nearby pub restaurant is also worth a visit too.

Lovely breakfast, freshly prepared fruit, figs and raspberries from the garden, proper tea in a tea pot (!) , tasty bacon roll freshly made each morning, along with cereals and toast. Breakfast outside each morning. The property isn’t attached or connected to the the Plough, but sits in its own litte country cottage space behind . Charlie is very affable, and a very good advocate for village life in Everdon. Quaint surroundings and a good area for long country walks. The property is obviously her pride and joy. Thank you Charlie and Ida ( the pup) for a lovely relaxing stay.

We absolutely loved staying at Charlie’s B and B. It is homely and characterful. The courtyard garden is the perfect place to have breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit from Charlie’s allotment. The beds are comfortable and it’s in a very quiet location so we had a really good nights sleep. Charlie is a great host and I would recommend this B and B to other travellers.

Great location, great host, excellent local walks and a very nice village. Dinner at the pub ‘The Plough’ a couple of doors away was excellent. We were with friends, we had both rooms which were both very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Would we stay again? no question. Would we recommend it? Yes, and we are very fussy when it comes to staying away. Parking for two cars which worked very well for us. The weather was good when we were there, which meant we had our breakfast served to us at the table outside, which was really very nice. The host Charlie (a very nice lady) was very attentive and could not do enough for us, making sure we had a great time, which we did. As a side note, there are only two rooms, one room, which is a twin room, allows dogs and the other one which has a double bed, does not. They are both cottage style rooms with the doors directly outside, which works very well.

This is the most charming place to stay. I was over the moon with the cottage which was comfy, clean and just perfect for our stay. The host was utterly exceptional and went above and beyond the call of duty to facilitate a warm welcoming and successful stay. The breakfast was lovely. Everything was five star!

“Charlie is a most charming and helpful host who met me on arrival and departure. The property had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Had I had a bigger car then I would have been tempted to take the bed home it was so comfy. Wifi issues but these are known to Charlie and being resolved and wasn’t a big issue for me anyway. I didn’t want breakfast but it was offered. May be worth noting that the pub in the village only serves food on Friday and Saturday evenings but there are plenty of places to eat a short drive away.”

“Fantastic bed and breakfast. Charlie couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms are of a very high standard and the breakfast is superb. Great for a business trip but I wouldn’t hesitate taking the family for a leisure visit.”

“Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean room, very cosy. Charlie is friendly and welcoming and cooks an amazing breakfast. But it was Ida the little Jack Russell who stole the show! We would definitely stay with Charlie and Ida again!”

“Tucked away from the hustle and bustle in a quiet pretty village but still only 10/15 minute drive from Daventry which suited me just fine. Fed up of staying at boring and expensive hotel chains so this was a top pick for me! The room décor was tasteful with a pleasing mix of older furniture to suit the property and modern facilities to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast choices exceeded my expectations. My choice of local free range eggs were poached beautifully.”

“What we liked – Everything, Charlie & Ida made Bud & I so very welcome. Little touches such as fresh milk & fresh biscuits (neither bound in layers of plastic), peace, tranquility, the beauty of Everden added to Charlie & Ida’s hospitality make the Rear of The Plough B&B one definitely not to be missed whether a single traveller accompanied by their furry companion or a couple. Heartfelt Thank you’s xx”
